but that sounds strange, that's why you better say: "Deutsch spreche ich nicht so gut" (I don't speak German well) In German the sentence construction is very variable, unlike in English. e.g.
"Deutsch spreche ich nicht so gut"
"Ich spreche Deutsch nicht so gut"
"Nicht so gut spreche ich Deutsch"
COMPLICATED. And it means all the same and it's all possible to say.

"ß" is like "s", but with harder pronounciation

How are you: Wie geht es dir (but usually, "Wie geht's dir")
I'm fine/bad etc.: Mir geht es gut/schlecht

What's your name: Wie heißt du?
My name is... : Ich bin.../Mein Name ist...
How old are you?: Wie alt bist du?
I'm... years old: Ich bin... Jahre alt (short form: "Ich bin..." and the number)

very complicated: verb forms...
to be - sein:
I am - Ich bin
you are - du bist
he, she, it is - er, sie, es ist
we are - wir sind
you are - ihr seid
they are - ihr seid
(note that nearly every verb has a different kind of conjugation... LOL)

LOL just a impression how complicated the German language is...
